Edward Hawker, Norwich Tutoring founder, has been tutoring since graduating from Imperial College London with a degree in Biochemistry in 2002. In this time, he has tutored over 150 students and helped people of wide-ranging ages and levels, including scholarship students, adults wishing to improve English and/or Maths skills, and students with learning difficulties, as well as helping numerous students to pass or reach higher grades in their SATS, GCSEs and A-Levels/retakes. Having passed his own exams with straight A and A* grades, he feels he can relate well to the examination concerns of children and young adults, and his extensive experience has helped him to be able to communicate ideas and concepts to a wide variety of different people. He has an enhanced CRB disclosure and can provide references.
Edward has assembled a team of high-quality, professional tutors with a combined experience of over 45 years helping students improve their exam performance and academic confidence. The tutors have a proven track record with students of all ages and learning styles, especially within the Norfolk and Norwich area.

I believe that one-to-one tuition is extremely useful not just for improving knowledge and grades, but for giving students far greater confidence in their abilities and allowing them to believe that they are capable of achieving whatever they aspire to. When a student finally grasps something completely, his or her confidence builds rapidly and he or she feels much more likely to be able to grasp similar concepts, and begins to gain more enjoyment from the subject. Very quickly a student can switch from disliking (or hating) a subject to liking it, when they know they are capable of doing it. It is my belief that every student is ultimately capable of performing well in any subject, with the right amount of assistance, work and confidence”.
